Single
One outcome, one price. With €10 on 1.85 the return is €18.50 if the outcome happens. The cost of the bet is the margin of that one market.
Accumulator
Two or more selections on one slip. All of them have to win. The odds multiply: 1.85 × 1.90 × 2.10 ≈ 7.38. The return looks big, but the chance of all three winning is small, and the margin of each market piles up.
| Selections | Combined odds | Priced probability |
|---|---|---|
| 1 (1.85) | 1.85 | 54.1% |
| 2 (1.85 × 1.90) | 3.52 | 28.4% |
| 3 (1.85 × 1.90 × 2.10) | 7.38 | 13.5% |
System bet
A system bet plays many combinations of your selections, e.g. every double from three matches (3 lines). You can lose one selection and still get a return, but you pay for every line separately: at €2 a line, the slip costs €6.
Frequently asked questions
Why do accumulators have such high odds?
Because every selection has to win. The odds multiply, but so do the margins.
Does a system bet reduce the risk?
It lets you lose some selections and still get a return, but it costs you more lines. Your total stake goes up.
