How it’s calculated
The possible return is stake × odds. In an accumulator the odds multiply: 1.85 × 2.00 × 1.50 = 5.55. An accumulator only wins if every selection wins.
if it wins: €55.50 − €10.00 = €45.50
if it loses: −€10.00
probability: 1 ÷ 5.55 = 18.0%
The probability the odds price in is 1 ÷ combined odds. It contains the margin of every selection, which is why margins add up in an accumulator.
Frequently asked questions
How is an accumulator’s return calculated?
Multiply all the odds together and then by the stake. With €10 on 1.85, 2.00 and 1.50, the possible return is €55.50.
What do I lose if the bet loses?
Your whole stake, on a single and on an accumulator.
Why does the probability fall when I add selections?
Because every one of them has to win. An accumulator’s probability is the product of the probabilities of its selections.
